BHILAI: G Chouhan Cricket Academy (GCCA) and All Star Football Club (ASFC) fans will unite for a charity football match this month to raise funds for draught relief and Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
It is a collaborated endeavour for raising funds for the farmers of draught affected areas of Chhattisgarh. The match will be held at Jayanti Stadium in city on January 24, said former Indian cricketer Rajesh Chauhan.
Chouhan, the patron of GCCA, while talking to a section of media here in Bhilai, stated that several bollywood stars, former cricket players and celebrities from other sport streams will also participate in this charity match, which is to be played between ASFC and GCCA-XI. The event will also be attended by dignitaries from Central-state government and SAIL as well.
He said, "The steel city is going to witness an event of such grand scale for the first time. This city has given so much to me and my family and through this event, I want to give something back to the society. Moreover, through this match we wish to spread the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Clean India more efficiently especially among the youths."
